I wasn't sure whether to get this or Co-enzyme Q10. This product, though, has been great. As well as running marathons and ultra-marathons I'm a type 1 diabetic, meaning that peripheral circulation and soft tissue health are of concern to me. While using this I have seen a marked improvement in my gum health and generally felt like circulation at the extremities was improved in the cold. Highly recommended.
These seem to be totally good, with a broad spectrum of tocopherols better representing naturally occurring Vitamin E (unlike the synthetic and limited Vitamin E available here in Australia). Higher dosages can reduce the effect of other vitamins, but this one from Thorne seems to have been just right.
Again, as a long-distance running type 1 diabetic I am interested in anything that is going to be an effective antioxidant, optimize other vitamins in my system (mainly C & E I think), and contribute to my body producing energy more smoothly and predictably. It has seemed to me that after taking this for a couple of days, my blood sugars stayed within a narrower range and peaked at lower highs. Also, when running it seemed that energy flowed smoother.
When you're running your body down with sustained exercise, Tribulus can be an excellent support. This one, not so much. Thompson's Tribulus 2000 seems to be very good for endurance athletes needing more pep, this one seems pretty good for bacne and not much else.
Among other supplements, I'm using this as an endurance runner wanting to burn energy more efficiently 2, 3, 4 hours in. It has certainly seemed to work just fine and Doctor's Best generally seems to have been a reliable and well-priced brand.
